About our Company

Hi. I’m Spencer Stewart, the founder and owner at River Valley Pools. My wife, two kids and I live in Clark County outside of Winchester down on the Kentucky River. Since I was a kid growing up way back in the 80s, I have always loved swimming pools. I was lucky enough to grow up with an in-ground vinyl liner pool in my backyard. My two brothers, my sister, any number of neighborhood kids and I spent all our childhood summers swimming and playing in and around that pool. Backyard swimming pools create countless memories and provide much needed family time, bringing that vacation feeling to your own home.

As an adult I worked my way through college and many years beyond at a local pool company. I really enjoyed working with customers and helping them to turn their backyard swimming pool dreams into an affordable reality.  It was here that I learned the ins and outs of the pool industry.

After college I moved away from the swimming pool business for more than a decade, and spent most of my career in the corporate world sitting behind a desk looking at spreadsheets.  Despite moderate success, I became tired of the corporate life and wanted something more for my career and family.

So, with the help of family (my brother runs a major pool company out of state), I started River Valley Pools here in Central Kentucky. At River Valley Pools, we specialize in building and maintaining relationships with our clients in the Lexington area and surrounding region. We promise to work with you and your budget to build a family oasis at your home. I will personally oversee your swimming pool project and be at your building site throughout the construction process. I will always be a phone call away to answer a question or talk out and solve any potential issues.
