Hello! This is the first of hopefully many blog entries to come for River Valley Pools. I will try and write them about important and fun topics related to the pool industry in the Bluegrass Region.
Pools are a lot of fun and bring families together but they also come with responsibility. We recommend at least a four foot high fence or barrier around your pool or pool area with a self-closing and self-latching gate. Young children are at most risk when it comes to pools and they should be unable to open the gate on their own at any time.
Additionally, there are many relatively easy and inexpensive products that offer protection beyond that of a barrier or fence. The lifebuoy is a product that floats around or can be tied to a handrail inside your pool.  Whenever any objects falls into the water a loud alarm goes off at the pool side and inside the home. It’s completely portable and can be brought along on vacations etc. and costs around $300. Products like these make your pool safer and make relaxing at home easier.
